Today, we are extremely excited to bring you the premiere of the new album by Ottawa-based Thee Male Nurse! The album is called Life Is More Than Anyone Can Say It’s Beautiful and will be out on August 8 via Dirt Cult Records. The album was recorded over the course of 6 months by Sean Cooke, who has played in Slow Dawn and the Heavy Medicine Band.The album features six new tracks that explore mental health, parenthood, social media, embracing the cringe, masculinity, and so much more over instrumentation that effortlessly blend together elements from folk, punk, and powerpop. Thee Male Nurse is the solo project of Davey Quesnelle, who has played in tons of rad bands including Peach Kelli Pop, The Million Dollar Marxists, and Matty Grace and The Rumination Year and we caught up with Davey to hear the stories behind each of the tracks. Tours: Beton Arme announce North American tour

Montreal-based oi band Beton Arme have announced North American tour dates for this fall and winter. Dark Thoughts will be joining them on all dates. The trek begins on November 6 in Montreal, Quebec and wraps up on December 12 in Toronto, Ontario. Beton Arme released their album Renaissance earlier this year. Check out the dates below.

Hunx and His Punx release "Wild Boys" video

Hunx and His Punx have released a video for their song “Wild Boys”. The video was directed by Sandy Honig. The song is off their upcoming album Walk Out On This World which will be out on August 22 via Get Better Records. Hunx and His Punx will be touring the US and Ontario starting in late August. Their most recent album was 2013’s Street Punk. Check out the video below.

Videos: Flying Raccoon Suit: "Mothership"

Flying Raccoon Suit have released a video for their new song “Mothership”. The video was created by Jeff Van Gerwin. The song appears to be a standalone single and is available digitally now via Bad Time Records. Flying Raccoon Suit will be touring the US with Catbite in September and released their album Moonflower in 2023. Check out the video below.

Bootcamp to release debut LP, share "Asylum"

Iowa City-based hardcore punk band Bootcamp has announced that they will be releasing their debut full-length album. The album is called Time’s Up and will be out on August 22 via Convulse Records. The band has also released a new song called “Asylum”. Bootcamp released their EP Controlled Burn in 2024. Check out the song and tracklist below.

Pinkshift release two new songs

Pinkshift have released two new songs from their upcoming album Earthkeeper. They are called “Reflection” and “Don’t Fight” (which comes with a video directed by the band). Earthkeeper will be out on August 29 via Hopeless Records. Pinkshift released their EP suraksha in 2023. Check out the video and song below.

Charger in the studio recording new music, Lars producing

Charger has been posting studio pics for a number of months and now they are back on the studio. The band is recording at 2200 Studios in Sausalito and Lars Frederiksen is producing.
