OC punks The Jack Knives are back!

Fresh off the success of last year’s Into The Night full-length, the foursome have got another full-length in the can and ready for your earholes. It’s called Negative Spaces, and it’s due out on Fumie Records on November 6, 2026. We know, we know, that’s an awful long time to wait. But don’t worry…the band have announced not one but TWO new songs to whet your appetite!

The two new tracks, “La Sirena” and “Late Nights In London,” are available tomorrow as a double A-Side single. Both tracks – and the whole of Negative Spaces – were recorded at the iconic Little Eden studio in the iconic Asbury Park by the iconic Pete Steinkopf and were mastered by the iconic Jason Livermore at the iconic Blasting Room in Fort Collins, Colorado! Here’s what vocalist/guitarist Si Short has to say about the new Jack Knives material:

“These songs really feel like the beginning of a new era for us. There’s still all the energy and grit people expect from the Jack Knives, but we pushed ourselves further as songwriters and storytellers on this record.”

Check out the “La Sirena” video down below and stay tuned for more on Negative Spaces!

Interviews: Blag Dahlia on 'Jenkem,' the new Dwarves album

On Friday, rock legends The Dwarves release their new album, Jenkem. The record is a short, fast, kicking blast of 14 songs across the span of about 16 minutes. Titled Jenkem, the record is a stripped back, raw, but poppy, sprint that stands in contrast to the band's previous ornate release. Also, there are a lot of songs about drugs on it.To that end, Punknews' John Gentile spoke with frontman Blag Dahlia about Jenkem, actual jenkem, and, of all people, Melania Trump. You can check it out below.

Check out the new album by the Claudettes!

Today, we are psyched to debut the new album by The Claudettes!Chicago's The Claudettes are a real theatrical band. With the same playhouse gusto of World/Inferno Friendship Society and Dresden Dolls, the band merges punk, power pop, new wave, and the stage for a real full-on type sound. The band has a brand new record out this Friday called Garage Glamour.Speaking to Punknews, band founder, Johnny Iguana states "I suppose Garage Glamour can get filed under punk just as my favorite album, Minutemen's Double Nickles on the Dime, was filed under punk. That album pivoted into one musical style after another, and so does ours, and yet they sounded like Minutemen all through it, and we sound like only one band all across Garage Glamour, too. There are specific nods to Zombies, Kraftwerk, the Doors, Rachmaninov, the Chi-Lites, Al Green, Bernard Herrmann, Wanda Jackson, Gang of Four, Devo, David Lynch, Beastie Boys and more on Garage Glamour. I think it is an incredibly fun ride to take, this album."You can hear the release below!
