Kate Pierson of The B-52s has announced that she will be releasing a new solo album. It is called Radios and Rainbows and will be out on September 20 via SVR. She has released a video for her new song “Evil Love” which was directed by John Stapleton. Kate Pierson released her solo album Guitars and Microphones in 2015. Oakland-based punks Shutups have released a new two-song single. The songs are called “Friends For Life” and “Perfect Hair Perfect Teeth”. A video for “Friends For Life” has also been released which was shot by Braith Miller and edited by Eric Stafford. The songs are available digitally via Jealous Butcher. Shutups released their album I can’t eat nearly as much as I want to vomit in 2022. Check out the video and song below.
In 1982, Flux of Pink Indians released the iconic Strive to Survive Causing Least Suffering Possible album. The release was produced by Penny Rimbaud of Crass under the name Shaw Ram Buoy. for the release, Rimbaud cut up a feedback recording to string tracks together. For decades, Colsk Latter has held on to the 1/4'' tape recording of the feedback. Well, he recently preserved the recording and uploaded it to the internet. Some Kind of Nightmare have announced that they will be releasing their final live album. Side A of the album features their live show from Lou’s LMGA in Orlando, Florida which was recorded on December 8, 2021 and side B of the album features their Critical Thoughts EP which was released digitally in 2023, this marks the first time the EP will be available on vinyl. The album will be released by DCxPC Live and is available for pre-order starting today, July 29. The album will be out on August 9. The band has also released the live version of their song "We Take Form". Some Kind of Nightmare announced their breakup earlier this year after 18 years together. The band released their album Transplant Pulse in 2020.

On July 26, Green Day stopped by Good Morning America to perform a handful of songs as part of GMA’s Summer Concert Series. The band played “Basket Case”, a snippet of “Look Ma, No Brains!” before “Dilemma”, “Holiday”, and “Bobby Sox”. Green Day are now touring North America and will be touring Japan in February. The band released their album Saviors earlier this year. Check out the videos below.
Flatspot Records have announced the lineup for their upcoming Flatspot World show in Toronto. SPEED, Angel Du$t, End It, Big Boy, Life’s Question, and Terminator will be playing. Flatspot World Toronto will take place at 131 McCormack Street on September 28.
