Nashville-based Jorts Fest has announced its lineup for this year. Dollar Signs, Devon Kay and The Solutions, New Junk City, Doom Gong, The Dreaded Laramie, Soot, Massie99, Khamsin, Mouth Reader, Dad Hats, Ghost Town Remedy, Dustbin, Pink and Black Records, 95Corolla, Together Breakfast, Nowhere Fast, Boy Clothes, A-Okay, Hussy Fit, Dreadmill, Smallville, Panda Forces, Big, If True, Sunflowerkink, Big Computer, Aconundrum, Merit, Oversight, David Daniel Parker, John Dennis, Abbdavv, Half Gallen and the Milk Jugs, Rich Ridgell, Brian Milligram, The Mad Sugars, and Black Guy Fawkes will be playing the festival. Jorts Fest will take place May 31 and June 1 at The Cobra in Nashville, TN.

Today marks the release of New Orleans-based BRAT’s debut full-length album Social Grace. The self-described bimboviolence band wastes no time showing you what they’re all about as they tear into ten blistering tracks full of brutal riffs, incredible harsh vocals, and fantastic drums. Make sure you stretch before pressing play because you will be banging your head for the entire duration of Social Grace. Social Grace is out now everywhere via Prosthetic Records. BRAT will be playing their record release show and touring the US later this month. This summer, Black Flag will go on tour and play all of the iconic First Four Years compilation, as well as other tracks. Right now, the band is wrapping up a similarly themed My War tour. The tour starts August 1 and runs through August 25 so far, but additional dates are expected to be added. Black Flag 2024 includes founding member Greg Ginn, singer Mike Vallely who joined in 2013, bassist Austin Sears who joined in 2023, and drummer Charles Wiley who joined in 2022. Ginn is the only member of the band that appears on The First Four Years. You can see the dates here.

Wine Lips have released a video for their new song “Fried IV”. The video was created by Sammy J. Lewis. The song is off their upcoming album Super Mega Ultra which will be out on April 5 via Stomp Records. Wine Lips released their album Mushroom Death Sex Bummer Party in 2021. Taking Meds have surprise-released a new EP. It is called EXT MEDS and is made up of b-sides from the recording sessions for their 2023 album Dial M For Meds along with a cover of “Drive It All Over Me” by My Bloody Valentine. Taking Meds will be touring the US with Sweet Pill starting in the spring. Check out the EP below.
