Like a teenage boy cleaning his room in 2005, plenty of maxims are thrown around carelessly, but occasionally, there are one or two that properly embody a truth. When it comes to cinematic comedy, there’s no grander one than “brevity is the soul of wit.” Comedy sketches are a low-stakes high-reward bet – if you fuck one up, there’s always another one after the commercial break, but if you succeed, you wind up with some epochal joke that may speak […]

Peacock on Instagram all you want, but Zip-Tie Handcuffs are locked into the truth. The Boston band rips some garage rock while ripping social media a new one with “The Runaround,” their first release since 2019. The new tune — which dropped today (March 15) via King Pizza Records — presents a torrid rejection the all-consuming “pose, posture, and post” cycle that sustains sites like Instagram and Facebook. Today, we are pleased to debut the new track by Broadcaster! Broadcaster includes Jesse from Iron Chic and if you read this site, this is exactly the kind of music you want. The band cranks out big, booming melodic punk with soaring choruses. "Piece of your Heart" is off the new Daylight EP and finds the group in top form- the band sets heart-on-your-sleeve lyrics atop rumbling, wave like melodies. A little replacements here, a little Weezer therem and jsut a tiny bit of Clash hidden in the back. If you like org-core, and you do,this is right up yer alley. You can pick up the new EP right here and check out the new video below, right now!

Laura Jane Grace and Catbite will play a special set at Supernova ska fest. The artists will play all of Operation Ivy's energy album, and maybe a few of the band's other tracks. Supernova ska fest is September 13-15 in Hampton, Virginia. You can see the details below.
