Sheer Mag have announced that they will be releasing a new album. It is called Playing Favorites and will be out on March 1 via Third Man Records. The band has released a video for the title track which was directed, photographed, and edited by Craig Scheihing. Sheer Mag will be supporting Baroness on a handful of shows later this month and will be touring the US and Toronto starting in March. The band released A Distant Call in 2019. Edmonton-based screamo band Obroa-Skai have announced that they will be releasing their debut full-length record. It is called Science Progresses One Funeral at a Time and will be out on November 17 via Zegema Beach Records. The band has also released two new songs called “it must have been beautiful” and “1928-1972”. Obroa-Skai released their self-titled EP in 2019. Check out the songs below.

Oakland-based Flung has announced that she has signed to Get Better Records. She has also released a video for her first song on the label called “Intrinsic”. The video was directed by Ami Glazer. Flung released her album Apricot Angel in 2022. Check out the video below.
