Slope Records newest band, The Blankz, are letting loose their new video for their tune “White Baby” which is the first single off their debut 7”. The record hits the streets on Friday, July 13, and Slope topman, Thomas Lopez, took on several roles with the new video including director and star. Lopez appears as his band alter ego, Tommy Blank, in the 3:06 tribute to all things related to non-traditional families, new wave, and snotty punk rock.

The video is a good bit of fun and it is going to be airing on MTV’s Indie Playlist starting July 29. “White Baby” explores Lopez’s peculiar upbringing as a white child adopted by a Mexican family. Check out the video below.
