Kurt Braunohler hopes you find joy in life’s absurdities (and his new special)

Being able to release a new special is already an exciting thing for Kurt Braunohler. But being able to release a special that doesn’t premiere at midnight and then get pushed behind an online paywall? Well, there’s currently no better feeling — and he’s quite literally relishing in the moment. With his latest hour Perfectly Stupid, which premieres on Moment tonight (October 27) at 9 p.m. EDT, Braunohler is unleashing a multi-faceted comedy beast that’s been more than three years […]

Speaking to Punknews about the album, drummer Cody Ritchie said, "I Wish I Met You Sooner is a record that's so gratifying, it's effortless to get lost in and relate to with just one listen. Quoth the poster, ‘Watch the teaser for The Pale Blue Eye’

Scott Cooper’s career has been an odd one. Dude found himself squeezed out of his gritty country-western niche by the likes of Taylor Sheridan mid-career, so he pivoted to horror with Antlers and is continuing down on that path with The Pale Blue Eye, a film about a grizzled detective teaming up with a young Edgar Allan Poe to solve a murder at West Point. It stars Christian Bale — who, in these desaturated images, looks like a Pale Blue […]

Gerard Butler hits some turbulence in the ‘Plane’ trailer

A lot of folks like to rag on Gerard Butler for whatever reason — his accent work isn’t great, he takes weird-ass projects, and he’s definitely past the 300 days (though that’s probably the stupidest one of them all) — but we’re huge fans of his work. Why? Well, over the last couple of years and throughout his partnership with Lionsgate, it’s become clear that Butler’s trying to save a soon-to-be-dead form of cinema: the mid-budget high-concept action movie. Look […]

Taylor Swift makes grave request of Andover’s Titan Casket

Fans who know where to look can spot a slice of Andover, Massachusetts in Taylor Swift’s new “Anti-Hero” music video. The cameo comes in right around 2:14, while Swift’s staging her drama-driven final arrangements. Look past her petty will, which leaves 13 cents to each of her children — past her murderous daughter-in-law’s stolen getup from the 2009 “Fearless” tour. It’s in the background, nestled between lavish bouquets, taking up most of the frame. It’s the damn casket. People will […]
