SRA records to re-release Stinking Lizaveta series

Stinking Lizaveta has announced a massive re-issue campaign through SRA Records. SRA will reissue 1996's Hoplessness and Shame remastered from Steve Albini's master reels and 1997's Slaughterhouse. Both of these are on vinyl for the first time. The band is also releasing the unreleased 1994 Steve Albini demos and a live record recorded in 2023. That's out now.

American Football release 'Live in Los Angeles' album for 72 hours to raise funds for fire relief

American Football has released a live album to support relief efforts for those affected by the Californian wildfires. The album was recorded during their American Football 25th anniversary shows at the El Rey Theatre in Los Angeles which took place on October 12 and 13, 2024. The band performed their first album in full and two tracks feature special guests – Ethel Cain on “For Sure” and M.A.G.S. on “I’ll See You When We’re Both Not So Emotional”. The album is available digitally on Bandcamp starting today (February 7) and will remain available until the end of the day on February 9. All proceeds will be donated to the California Community Fund. You can check out the album below.

Spiritbox release video for "No Loss, No Love"

Spiritbox have released a video for their new song “No Loss, No Love”. The video was directed by Max Moore and Mike Stringer. The song is off their upcoming album Tsunami Sea which will be out on March 7 via Pale Chord/Rise Records. Spiritbox will be touring Europe starting later this month and will be touring North America starting in April. The band released their EP The Fear of Fear in 2023. Check out the video below. Golden Shitters release new song, "Destructor"

Hamilton, Ontario-based punk rockers Golden Shitters, made up of Matt Ellis of Anxious Pleasers and The Vapids, Dave Tyson of Sam Coffey and the Iron Lungs, and Kyle Fisher of The Dirty Nil, have released a new song.The song is called “Destructor” and is the first single from their upcoming second album Brutal Planet which will be out on March 7 via Ugly Pop Records. Their first album was self-titled and was released in 2023. Golden Shitters will be touring Europe this spring and released their EP Love Blows in 2024. Check out the song below.

Festivals & Events: Glassjaw, Jivebomb, Pest Control, more added to Outbreak Fest 2025

Outbreak Festival has added bands to its upcoming UK festivals in Manchester and London.Glassjaw will be playing at both of the festivals. They will be playing their albums Worship and Tribute and Everything You Wanted to Know About Silence in full (one on each day) for the Manchester festival and will be playing a set made up of songs from those albums for their performance in London. Glassjaw is the only band added to the London edition of the festival at this time and they join the previously announced lineup which includes Turnstile, Drug Church, Julie, SPEED, Sunny Day Real Estate, and Superheaven. More bands will be announced in the coming weeks. The London festival will take place at Victoria Park on June 13. Big Boy, Contention, Cruelty, Extinguish, Gleemer, Jivebomb, Mitsubishi Suicide, Pest Control, and xWeaponx are among the bands added to the Manchester festival. They join the previously announced lineup which includes Knocked Loose, Slowdive, Drug Church, Gouge Away, Jesus Piece, and Militarie Gun. This festival will take place June 14-15 at the Manchester B.E.C. Arena. You can see the post with both posters below.

Nell Smith's debut solo album to be posthumously released, video for "Anxious" shared

Nell Smith’s debut album has been announced. This is a posthumous release as the 17-year-old BC artist died in a car crash in October 2024. The album is called Anxious and includes three songs that were written with Fernie, BC-based folk band Shred Kelly. It will be out on April 11 via Bella Union.One of these songs is the title track which was released along with the album announcement. The song has an accompanying video that was filmed in Fernie, BC, and produced by Alex Hanson of Hipgnosis Media. Nell Smith’s first release was a 2021 collaboration album with The Flaming Lips called Where The Viaduct Looms which saw them reimagining songs by Nick Cave. Check out the video and tracklist below.
