‘Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania’ Review: Kang conquers

If you want to know what’s unimpeachably great about Peyton Reed’s otherwise frustrating Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, all you must do is look at the huge face on the teaser poster. Jonathan Majors is, without a doubt, the best thing to happen to the MCU since Avengers: Endgame, and, importantly, he’s not crammed into the same four-color box as every other character on screen. His introduction in Loki served as a decent establishment for their interpretation of Kang the […]

Streams: Listen to the new track by Matty Grace!

Today we are delighted to bring you a premiere of the new solo track by punk songwriter extraordinaire (who you might know from Cluttered, Crisis Party, or one of her many other awesome bands) Matty Grace! The song is called “Napathy and Exhaustion” and is off her upcoming record Blemishes and Scars: A Collection. Speaking to Punknews, Matty said of the track and upcoming record, "'Napathy and Exhaustion' is a song about feeling beaten down and stuck in the cyclical nature of day-to-day mundanity. It was writiten pretty quickly after relocating from Halifax and it conveys a lot of feelings. Big surprise. Blemishes and Scars as a full piece of music is a collection of songs that is more of a gathering of odds and ends of things ranging from the newest, "Napathy and Exhaustion", to an EP that was written during the early pandemic, to reworkings of past bands, to an Against Me! Cover from 2017. As per usual Becca Dalley of Cluttered and Book Buddies lends their vocal presence to these songs and some of these are actually some of our earliest collaborations. I’m stoked to have this compiled and excited for it to see the light of day!" Blemishes and Scars will be available digitally on March 3 (which is the next Bandcamp Friday!). Listen to the new track below right now!

Radha sinks into profound love with new single ‘Drowning’

Radha might be sinking fast, but that doesn’t mean she’s complaining about it. The Boston R&B singer is awash in her feelings on her new single “Drowning,” a content surrender to love that demands just as much substance as it offers up. Radha dropped the single last week (February 10), exposing brushes with shallow affection that have left her scarred — and her astonishment when a relationship’s actually deep enough to swallow her whole. “I tend to keep up a […]

Grade 2 raise a fist to the rigged game of life on blistering self-titled album

We got nothing clever, cute, or smart to say here. And that’s just fine, because we’re serving up the new album from Grade 2, and the self-titled release from the English punk trio — out today (February 17) via Hellcat — is simply none of those things. Instead, it’s a brash, bold, and melodic as fuck album of punk rock fury, wound tight with the type of fist-in-the-air, fist-to-the-face anthems set to soundtrack our never ending fight in the rigged […]
